14 Day River Cruise Paris to Rome 
This fabulous Seine River cruise begins and ends in Paris, followed by three nights each in Venice and Rome! Take in the beautiful scenery along the Seine River and the picturesque and historical region of Normandy.

Your river cruise through France embarks in Paris and sails to Vernon, where you will choose between two exciting guided visits—Claude Monet’s stunning gardens at Giverny or the remarkable Bizy Castle, known as “Normandy’s Versailles.” You may choose to go on an excursion to the historic Normandy Landing Beaches, including Omaha Beach, the Pointe du Hoc monument, and the American Cemetery, or select “A Taste of Normandy” excursion. In Rouen, take a guided walk through the medieval quarter and visit the Gothic Rouen Cathedral. From Conflans, join in an excursion to the quaint and inspiring town of Auvers-Sur-Oise—inspiration of great artists, including Vincent van Gogh—or visit Napoleon and Josephine’s Malmaison. Return to the “City of Light” to discover the true heart of Paris on a guided walk through the sites of the city’s rich history, or take a tour to see the iconic landmarks of the Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, and more.

From Paris, board a flight to Venice, Italy to begin your Monograms® vacation with three nights each in Venice and Rome. In Venice, enjoy guided sightseeing and a free day to explore the canals, bridges, and wonderful sights on your own. Next, travel by high-speed train to Rome, where you’ll enjoy seeing the classic sights with a guided tour, and a day of free time to spend as you wish. Day 1 Paris (Embarkation): Onboard welcome reception

Day 2 Vernon–Les Andelys: Choice of excursions to Giverny or Bizy Castle or walk with your Adventure Host; choice of guided walk or guided hike in Les Andelys ; onboard crêpe tasting and Pastry Demonstration

Day 3 Caudebec: Choice of excursion along the “Normandy Abbeys Route” or bike with your Adventure Host

Day 11 Venice–Rome: Travel by high-speed train (first class) to Rome

Day 12 Rome: Guided sightseeing, visit St. Peter's Square and Basilica, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum, Roman Forum (if your sightseeing falls on Wednesday or Sunday when the Vatican Museums are closed, your alternate tour will include inside visits of the Pantheon, Colosseum and Roman Forum)

Day 13 Rome: Full day at leisure

Flights into Paris must arrive by 2:30 pm.

Guests must be on board ship by 5 pm.

Your day is free to explore the world’s most romantic city before starting your cruise on the Seine. Get acquainted with the City of Light today with some shopping, strolling, or with a croissant and café au lait to watch the world go by amid the Parisian cityscape.

CLASSIC Take a Guided Tour of Giverny, home and inspiration of the master impressionist painter Claude Monet. Walk the grounds and see Monet’s charming residence, and the flower and water gardens captured in his masterpieces, OR:

CLASSIC Join a Guided Visit to Bizy Castle—called “Normandy’s Versailles” for its magnificent courtyard, water garden, and stables.

DISCOVERY While sailing, enjoy a traditional French luncheon of authentic French crêpes, followed by a Pastry Demonstration.

This afternoon, enjoy a beautiful cruise to the picturesque town of Les Andelys.
