Enjoy a welcome drink with your group before dining independently.

Day 2: Irish National Stud, Kilkenny & Rozzers at The Killeen House
Visit the home of equine royalty, The Irish National Stud, to see some of the magnificent thoroughbred horses. Take a walk around the delightful grounds including the miniature Japanese Gardens. Visit the Kilkenny Design Centre, built in 1760 as a coach house and stables for Kilkenny Castle, built in 1192 and added to over the centuries. Tour Kilkenny Castle, home of the Butlers, Earls and Dukes of Ormonde. Continue to Killarney, a town settled beside three lakes in the shadow of Ireland’s highest mountains. Enjoy a warm welcome and delicious cuisine at award winning restaurant Rozzers at The Killeen House. (B, D)

Day 3: Jaunting Car & Kissane Sheep Farm
Travel around the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland’s most popular scenic routes. Take a traditional horse-drawn jaunting car through the Killarney National Park to scenic Ross Castle, set on the shores of Lough Leane, Killarney’s largest lake. Immerse yourself in farm life at the Kissane Sheep Farm and watch a sheep herding demonstration as you learn about traditional farming. Enjoy leisure time back in Killarney before dinner. (B, D)

Day 4: Cliffs of Moher & Ashford Castle
Stop in a pub in Listowel, associated with the writer J. B. Keane, to enjoy tea and scones. Take a ferry ride across the wide River Shannon Estuary and drive along the coast. Take a guided tour of the Cliffs of Moher, majestic walls of rock, which extend five miles along the coast. Walk to O’Brien’s Tower at the highest point for panoramic views of the Aran Islands in Galway Bay. Admire the scenery on a Lough Corrib cruise as you approach Ashford Castle from the water. Unwind in luxurious surroundings and enjoy a sumptuous dinner in Ashford Castle’s restaurant. (B, D)

Day 5: Connemara & Kylemore Abbey
The breathtaking and scenic Connemara region is sparsely-inhabited due to the poor farming conditions. Visit Kylemore Abbey, a stately 19th century mansion in a tranquil lakeside setting, owned by an order of Irish Benedictine nuns. Walk along the lake shore to see the fine reception rooms and the elaborate church. Stop for a drink at a traditional pub before returning to Ashford Castle in the early afternoon. Dine in another of the castle’s restaurants this evening. (B, D)

Head to Spiddal to visit Cnoc Suain, a restored 17th century hill-village set in a beautiful landscape. Enjoy fascinating insights into indigenous Irish culture through traditional music, song, storytelling, Céilí dancing and food. In Galway take a walking tour with a local guide to see Eyre Square, Galway Cathedral, the Spanish Arch and parts of the medieval city walls.
