Day: 1 Anchorage, the City of Lights and Flowers
Welcome to Alaska. Upon arrival at Anchorage International Airport, there is a transfer to your hotel. At 18:00, join your Tour Director for a Welcome Reception with drinks and a light meal.
Day: 2 Anchorage Sightseeing
Get acquainted with downtown Anchorage. Visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center and learn about the traditions of Alaska's first people during this private presentation. Afterward, journey around Lake Hood to visit the largest float plane base in the world. Meet a bush pilot who shares fascinating stories about the joys and hazards of flying in rural Alaska. The rest of the afternoon is yours to browse among the shops or native art galleries. In the evening, you are invited for a delectable Highlight Dinner at MUSE, located in the Anchorage Museum.
Day: 3 Journey along the Alaskan Railroad
Journey to Talkeetna, nestled at the base of Mount Denali, North America's tallest peak and the inspiration for the TV program 'Northern Exposure'. After a brief visit of downtown, board the world-famous Alaskan Railroad train for a spectacular journey over narrow gorges and swift-rushing streams to Denali National Park. View steep valleys framed by craggy mountains from the comfort of your reclining seat in the deluxe dome railcar. Your welcoming hotel is located on the slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain, with unparalleled views of the surrounding Denali wilderness and Nenana River Canyon. Day: 4 Denali National Park, the Crown Jewel of the Alaskan Wilderness
(Relaxed Start) The 6 million acre Denali National Park and Preserve is just a short walk away. Learn about the tundra and wildlife in the park from a local climber and wildlife expert. The remainder of the day is open for recreation or optional activities. Perhaps take an exciting rafting trip down the Nenana River or a helicopter flightseeing tour for close-up views of Mt. Denali.
Day: 5 Girdwood and Mount Alyeska
Your day begins with a scenic journey south on the George Parks Highway. Stop along the way for lunch and an exclusive visit with Martin Buser, a champion dog musher and four-time Iditarod winner. You are invited to meet his dogs and share the challenges of competing in the 1,049-mile (1688 km) dogsled race. Continue on the Seward Highway along Turnagain Arm with its dramatic views. Arrive in the town of Girdwood, home of Alyeska Resort and ski area. Ride the aerial gondola for panoramic views of the mountains and sea at your leisure. The evening is free for you to enjoy.
Day: 6 Prince William Sound Cruise
(Relaxed Start) Today is devoted to the 26 Glacier Cruise through Prince William Sound and College Fjord. Experience the thundering calving of glaciers and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife such as sea otters, porpoises and whales. In the evening, join your Tour Director for a wonderful Celebration Dinner featuring a variety of local seafood specialties, complete with wine and good cheer.
Day: 7 Seward and return to Anchorage to join your Glacier Discovery Cruise
Visit the aquariums of the Alaska Sealife Center in Seward and enjoy an exclusive presentation about their marine research and rehabilitation program. Have lunch and explore downtown at your own pace. Guests are then transferred to the Port of Seward to board the ms Zaandam or ms Noordam. Set sail in the evening.
Day: 8 Scenic Cruising – College Fjord
Admire the massive glaciers of College Fjord in Prince William Sound and keep your eyes open for abundant wildlife and maybe even one of the 40-ton humpback whales that come to the waters of Alaska each summer.(FB / L / D)

Day: 13 Scenic Cruising – Inside Passage

Day: 14 Depart Vancouver
Sail into Vancouver Harbour early this morning. After disembarking, take your transfer to Vancouver International Airport or to the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel if you wish to extend your stay. Disembark in the morning, where there are transfers to Vancouver International Airport or the tour hotel for guests extending their stay. Airport arrival will be at 0930.(FB)
