Monograms 3 Nights Florence & 3 Nights Rome(DS)

According to Samuel Johnson, “A man who has not been in Italy, is always conscious of an inferiority.” We don’t want you to feel inferior, which is why Monograms has made it easy for you to travel to Italy. On this Italy vacation package, we’ve arranged your hotel reservations at centrally located hotels, daily breakfast, sightseeing, first-class train travel between Florence and Rome, and transfers from/to your hotels & the train stations. Plus, a one-of-a-kind feature offered by Monograms is the service of a Local Host® in both cities, in essence a “friend in the city” who can help you with activities, offer suggestions and recommendations, and answer your questions.

Your Italy trip begins in Florence, where your Local Host will greet you with a smile and a set of materials to familiarize you with the city. The next morning, after included breakfast, we’ll pick you up at your hotel for guided sightseeing with a local expert, someone who will share inside stories and secrets on the must-see attractions, such as Michelangelo’s original David, the Ponte Vecchio, and more. With your Certified Local Guide in Rome, you’ll view Michelangelo’s famous ceiling paintings at the Sistine Chapel, admire the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and much more. Plus, we’ve arranged VIP access so rather than waiting in long lines like all the other tourists, you’ll skip the lines, leaving you more time to be inside the attractions! You’ll have time to explore Florence and Rome on your own (with the help of your Local Host of course).

In Florence, you may want to take a gelato-making lesson; enjoy a walking tour of the city by night; take an excursion to see the Leaning Tower in Pisa and to Lucca, featuring some of Italy’s finest medieval and Renaissance architecture; browse for works by local artisans and goldsmiths on the Ponte Vecchio, dating to 1345; or just relax at a fine Tuscan restaurant sipping Chianti wine. In Rome, you may want to shop at some of the famous fashion boutiques, visit one of the many museums, take an excursion to the Borghese Gallery and Gardens to see its vast collection of sculptures and paintings, admire the fountains in the Piazza Navona, or just enjoy authentic Italian pizza at a local restaurant. Be sure to ask your Local Hosts for their favorite walks, restaurants, and shops. And did we mention we’ve included first-class travel on the high-speed train between Florence and Rome? You won’t have to deal with the stress of purchasing tickets and finding the right train. We’ve handled all of that for you—not to mention your hotel reservations, sightseeing, and breakfasts. All you have to do is grab your camera and get ready for an amazing vacation to Italy!
