Your vacation begins the moment you arrive in Rio. We can pick you up at the airport, so you don’t have to deal with the hassles of getting to your hotel after the flight to South America. The next day, after an included breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel for private, guided sightseeing of this vibrant city. With an expert local guide, you’ll hear the inside stories of the must-see attractions and ride a cog-wheel train to the top of Corcovado Mountain, home to Christ the Redeemer. We’ve scouted out the best picture spot, so you’ll be sure to capture the views of the beaches and city below. You’ll also have plenty of free time to explore Rio. Perhaps take a Jeep tour in Tijuaca National Park in the center of Rio or discover historic Petropolis, site of the former summer palace of Emperor Dom Pedro II.

And it’s not just South America’s most exciting cities we’ve included in this vacation. Your package also includes visits to both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of Iguassu Falls. Enjoy private tours as you stand mesmerized by one of the most spectacular sights on Earth, with its 275 falls, brilliant rainbows created by clouds of spray, and deafening roar. Then you’re on your way to beautiful Buenos Aires! Your Local Host will be on hand to help you become acquainted with the “Paris of South America.” The next day, your private, guided sightseeing features the must-see sights, including the burial site of Eva Peron, the Cemetery of the Recoleta. On your free time in Buenos Aries, you can savor the cities atmosphere, enjoy one of the many outdoor cafes, watch a Tango performance or journey to the Argentine country and visit a ranch and experience the lifestyle of the gauchos. Itinerary (2023)

Day 1ARRIVE IN RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL
 Arrive in Rio de Janeiro. Your hotel is available for mid-afternoon check-in.
Day 2RIO DE JANEIRO
 Today, a private city tour takes you to the Cosme Velho district to board a cog-wheel train that will whisk you through the lush tropical vegetation of Tijuca Forest to the top of Corcovado Mountain. This rounded peak rising 2,300 feet from the bay below is one of the New7Wonders of the World and home to the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer. Enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panorama, which affords sweeping views of the city and beaches below. The afternoon and evening are at leisure. Tonight, you may opt to join an outing to a fun churrascaria for a feast of barbecued meats that are marinated and roasted over charcoal in true Brazilian style. (B)
Day 3RIO DE JANEIRO
 Enjoy an optional rainforest Jeep tour in Tijuca National Park. This afternoon, you may elect to discover historic Petropolis, site of the former summer palace of Emperor Dom Pedro II, or take an optional excursion to visit the iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain. (B)
Day 4RIO DE JANEIRO–IGUASSU FALLS
 Fly to Iguassu Falls. This masterpiece of nature encompasses 275 separate falls and spans almost two miles. This afternoon’s private tour is dedicated to enjoying the spectacle of this 2-mile-wide torrent from the Brazilian side. (B)
Day 5IGUASSU FALLS
 With your Local Host, tour the Argentine side of Iguassu Falls, with numerous walkways that wind above and under the crashing water. (B)
Day 6IGUASSU FALLS–BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA.
 Fly to Buenos Aires, proud capital of the vast country that occupies most of the southern part of the continent. After arriving at your central hotel, you will have time to become acquainted with the “Paris of South America” and its wide boulevards and outdoor cafés. Enjoy an evening at leisure. (B)
Day 7BUENOS AIRES.
 A private city tour this morning starts in the colorful La Boca district, site of the city’s first port. Take a short walking tour of this unique neighborhood, then on to San Telmo, famous for its late-colonial buildings and a popular gathering spot for artists. At the Plaza de Mayo, see La Casa Rosada (the President’s Pink House) and the Metropolitan Cathedral, which houses San Martin’s Mausoleum. Drive past the ornate Teatro Colón Opera House before reaching Recoleta Cemetery, burial site of Eva Perón. This evening, perhaps savor the city’s atmosphere on an optional dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a performance of Latin America’s most sensuous dance—the Tango! (B)
Day 8BUENOS AIRES
 Today is free or perhaps journey to the pampas and experience Argentine country life as you visit an estancia (ranch) and become acquainted with the lifestyle of the gauchos. (B)
Day 9BUENOS AIRES.
 Your vacation ends after breakfast this morning. (B)
