Composers, Scarlatti, Corelli, Vivaldi, Paganini, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, as well as modern Berio and Nono were significant in Italy's music. Notable scientific minds included: Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo Galilei, Enric Fermi, Alessandro Volta, Marcello Malpighi, Lazzaro Spallanzani, Camillo Golgi, and Guglielmo Marconi.
