Day: 1 Arrive Toronto (2 Nights)
Immerse yourself in the multi-cultural extravaganza that is Canada's Toronto. Meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers this evening for a Welcome Reception to launch your exploration of Eastern Canada's iconic cities.
Day: 2 Toronto Sightseeing
Start the day with an orientation tour of cosmopolitan Toronto, viewing sprawling Queens Park, stately University Avenue and the Provincial Parliament Buildings. Embark on a trip to the top of the iconic CN Tower and enjoy the rest of the day on your own.
Day: 3 Toronto – Niagara Falls
Journey to Niagara Falls for an exhilarating boat ride to the base of Horseshoe Falls. Savour the delicate flavours of local ice wine as you Connect with Locals at a family owned winery and Be My Guest dinner.
Day: 4 Niagara Falls – Kingston – Ottawa
We journey to Kingston, the gateway of a Thousand Islands, where we'll enjoy an orientation tour and admire its beautiful historic buildings. Arriving in the capital Ottawa, we embark on an introductory tour, viewing the elegant Gothic buildings of Parliament Hill, Rideau Hall, the residence of the Governor General of Canada, and the beautiful downtown parks. We enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant.
Day: 5 Ottawa – Parc Omega – Quebec City (2 Nights)
Get back to nature and spend the morning exploring Parc Omega, which provides sanctuary to such endemic species as beaver, elk, timber wolf, deer and caribou. We continue to Quebec City and begin our love affair with its French Canadian joie de vivre and romantic 17th century façades.
Day: 6 Quebec City Sightseeing
Embark on a captivating walk through the narrow streets of Old Quebec City, joining your Local Specialist for an in-depth discovery of this UNESCO-listed place exuding all the charm on a European city. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring La Vieille Capitale on your terms.
Day: 7 Quebec City – Montreal (2 Nights)
The sticky, rich flavours of Canada's traditional maple syrup will linger long after your morning stop at the local cabane a sucre (sugar shack) where you'll enjoy in a traditional local lunch. Continue indulging in the good life as you arrive in Montreal, the largest French-speaking city outside of France, and admire the panoramic city views from the city's namesake, Mount Royal.
Day: 8 Montreal Sightseeing
Explore the Island of Montreal with ease, joining your Local Specialist for a sightseeing tour that will reveal the splendour of such historic sites as the ornate Notre Dame Basilica, the colourful Old Port area and Downtown Montreal. Gain a deeper appreciation for the city's French Canadian roots as you spend the afternoon exploring the city on your terms before joining your fellow travellers for a Farewell Dinner.
Day: 9 Montreal Cruise
Travel to Montreal and see the famous sights before bidding farewell to your Travel Director and boarding your Holland America ship to set sail on an unforgettable cruise discovering natural beauty and maritime treasures.
Day: 10 Quebec City
Choose to take the funicular or the "neck-breaking steps" down to the Lower Town where you'll see Notre Dame des Victoires, the Petit Champlain district, the port, and Musée de la Civilisation.
Day: 11 Gulf of Saint Lawrence
The Gulf of Saint Lawrence fringes the shores of half the provinces of Canada. The Gulf is defined by stunning coast line and beautiful islands, including Prince Edward Island and the Magdalen Islands.
Day: 12 Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Call in at Charlottetown where red double-decker buses motor along streets lined with Victorian houses.
Day: 13 Sydney, Nova Scotia
Cruise on passed the Highlands of Nova Scotia to the port of Sydney. Lighthouses stand sentinel on cliffside ledges; tiny villages huddle in rocky inlets and lobsters make it from the ocean to your plate in record time.
Day: 14 Halifax, Nova Scotia
In Halifax, the ramparts of the Citadel defend the city and await your inspection.
Day: 15 Bar Harbor, Maine
Continuing south, Bar Harbor is the quintessential New England coastal town.
Day: 16 Disembark Boston
Disembark the ship in Boston today.
